Collection of Student Card for freshmen of School of Chemical & Life Sciences

Due to the clash of dates between Freshmen Orientation (13-14 April 2011) & the original date for card collection (14th April 2011), students are to collect their cards at the new dates stated below:

Date : 15 April 2011 or 18 April – 20 April 2011

Time : 10am – 4pm

Venue: NYP Lounge ( Blk A, Level 3)

Please be informed that student card will only be issued upon submission of the photocopies of your NRIC/Passport, Birth Certificate and educational certificate(s) to the above mentioned venue.

Sales of Notebook computers

Notebook computers is a powerful and vital learning & communication tool at NYP.

The school will be organising a Notebook Road Show at the following venue & dates:

Venue: NYP Lounge (Blk A, level 3)

Dates: 21 (Thu), 23 (Sat), 25 to 28 April 2011 (Mon – Thu)

Time : 9am to 6pm

The following are the benefits of buying your notebook at the road show:

The notebooks have been tested to work with NYP network resources and teaching software.
Notebooks have good performance & from reputable vendors.
The school IT support staff will help you in case of problems.
Some vendors offer off-campus pick-up points for servicing notebooks that encounter problems.
There are interest-free loans from NYP.

Recruitment drive camp , AKA RDC 2010 is over! This event was held over a 3 day period from june 14th – june 16th!
The main motive of this camp is to recruit new members into the one and only SCL club, teehee

Hello everyone, this is PS1002!! This is the 1st post of the year and I guess u guys don’t know much about us rite?! So I decided to post a short sentence about each & everyone of us to let u guys know more about us!~
Before I start, let me introduce something abt myself(Benjamin).. I was once an IT rep in primary sch, also an IT rep in secondary school and now IT rep still! IT rep for lifeXD haha! And of course I hav a partner, aden! My current and only CCA: SU! (loyal rite? hahas!) About Aden, love to play e-sport such as SuddenAttackSea.

Feng Ling: Loves Chocolate & Marshmallow. Passionate about music!

FS1004 Outing to Navy’s Open House

Hello! This will be the first post for our class FS1004! For our first class outing, we went to the Navy’s Open House and it was such an eye opener! We were so amazed at how big the ship was when we arrived at the destination!

We also took a group photo at the entrance.

We were able to have a tour on board the ship, there were kitchens, gym, resting area, bunks, cafeterias and medical attention room in the ship.

There were also other things put up for exhibit such as..

A helicopter!

There was also a performance where divers jumped into the sea from the helicopter and later rescued by the boats nearby.

Those are not the only one that caught our eye, the scenery view was fantastic too!

Apart from the long standing in the bus to the destination and the long waiting bus line back to school, overall the outing was a memorable one filled with great memories.

Overseas Community Service Trip to Cambodia

Hello again! It’s been awhile since school reopened. During the holiday, couple of our very own FS0801 headed to Cambodia to help educate and teach kids at Cambodia.

Some of us went to meet up with our classmates before they departed during the holidays

They were busy checking in to make sure they don’t miss their flight

While at Cambodia, my classmates made alot of friends from other courses and befriended the Cambodians

They played and learnt along side the Cambodian children

Besides the wonderful children they met, Cambodia was filled with scenery that was not available in Singapore
Like being able to sit under a waterfall

And check out old and ancient sites

Consumers constantly look forward to new flavours. The main concept behind our creation was to create an enjoyable dessert targeted at women who are health and beauty conscious. Green tea benefits one’s health as it contains many antioxidants and polyphenols. Aloe vera contains many bioactive compounds that have beautifying effects.

A good invention does not equate to complicated recipe and expensive ingredients.

A winning product can be just by simple ingredients, a creative concept and sheer determination.

Production process is never an easy task. We faced many problems during our ice cream making journey – Strength of the green tea flavour, texture of the ice cream and the perfect size for the Aloe Vera bits were some challenges to us. However, these challenges eventually became a helping hand because they prevented us from being complacent. Because of that, our ice cream improved from trial to trial to become a winning invention today.

It really came to us as a surprise that we had won this international competition. This would not be possible if we did not have the guidance from our lecturers who have been very helpful and patient. It was also due to the team’s effort that we have made this achievement possible. We are very thankful that all the hardwork and effort that we put in have been acknowledged. This definitely serves as an encouragement to us to strive harder in our new endeavours in life. We’d like to thank NYP once again for providing a platform for us to uncover our hidden talents.
