Dodge Ball Competition

On the 25th of July, a dodge ball competition was held, as mentioned by Mr Stewart Tan.

Our class, FS0802 took part in it, and we played in 3 preliminary rounds and one of the round was against MB0804, one of the strongest teams. We lost to MB0804 but we advanced to the knock-out rounds where we faced 15 other teams. When we made it to the Semi-Finals, we were facing the MB0804 team again. We played 3 gruelling games with them, 1st game we lost, however, we took out some of their players, and the remaining 3 or 4 players took us all out. The 2nd game, we switched sides and this time, we played the defensive strategy, however, we did not manage to dodge their altogether-combined attacks and we lost yet again. In the third round, we went all out, and took out some of their best players, but our tactics were no match for their vigor and violence. So we lost to them in the Semi-Finals. We faced FS0803 in a very friendly match for the third place. At that point of time, our class was much less offensive as 02’s and 03’s were in close terms off the pitch. The slow and friendly game ended with FS0803 in the third place and FS0802 in the 4th place.

SCL Benchball Competition and Class Outing

Last week our class participated in the benchball competition held by the SCL club.

Our team was made up of ten of our classmates. We named ourselves “slackers” n we were awesome

They are Aisya, Atikah, Marissa, Hanisah, Wahidah, Rizwanah, Gurinder, Keyuan, Joash and Wen Ze.

We were all nervous at first but little did we know that we would be in for a sweet surprise.

We gave our all out in all our matches and made it to the 3rd and 4th placing match.

However, we got the fourth placing but we were contented with it

After that, we went to celebrate in Pastamania!

SCL Captain’s Ball Tournament 2008

Staff and students of SCL were treated to a fun filled captain’s ball road to championship which span over Oct – Dec 08. A much needed episode for a mentor-mentee activity and work health promotion activity. MB 0804 emerged as the champion, beating their opponent, the Staff team. The games were crazy! Those students who you think are nerds turned out to be fanatic players with wacky moves! And the fans buzzed up the atmosphere armed with mega decibel output. Probably the stress buildup equates to the high performance output in the games. What a relief it must be for them! Staff included I’m sure! Like all good things must come to an end, but stay tune for the next energy bursting hammer time! See ya around!
