PS0701 celebrates NDP at NYP!

31 08 2009

Blog post by Evelyn Soh, PS0701

It’s National day!!
Ok, actually its been 3 weeks since national day is over.

In the morning when we walk pass the Macdonald, we saw this white board with all the well wishes for Singapore. So, we decide to write down our class’s “big” name , since its already the last year in school.

PS0701

Can you see it?
Is it big enough?

Anyway, we went to attend the National Day Celebration held at the auditorium and as usual, we have to wear either red or white clothings.
This year celebration is slightly different, as the performances were replaced by showcasing the National Education project done by the current Year 2s. Some of the videos can be quite boring but some are interesting.
Personally, I like the video of the puppets, made from the socks.
I think it’s interesting and pretty creative.

After the performance ended, our class took a class picture!
It’s probably going to be the last class picture taken together since we are going on our attachment in the blink of an eye, now that our exams have already ended as well.
Quite a number of us are going to be attached to Tan Tock Seng Hospital, some are attached to NHG polyclinics, there is also somebody going to be attached at National Cancer Centre (NCC), which i think should be an interesting experience. Others are attached to either retail pharmacy (ie. Unity, Watsons) or Singapore General Hospital.

Class photo (National Day)

this photo is probably going to be the last class photo before the graduation ceremony?
each of us are going to be busy with our own attachment and individual final year projects.
hopefully, we still have time to meet up with each other.

With this picture, I shall end the blog entry for now.
Have a good holiday, everyone!
(and all the best for the attachment, my classmates! Ganbatte!)

Touch Rugby POL-ITE 2009

31 08 2009

Blog post by Nurdayana, MB0702

POL-ITE 2009 has finally come to an end. The competition had been going on for the past three weeks. Nanyang Polytechnic came in as champions after beating Singapore Polytechnic 2-0 in the finals.

NYP:NP                5:1

NYP:TP                 1:0

NYP: ITE              15:0

NYP:RP                 2:2

NYP:SP                 2:0

I feel so happy! It’s like a dream come true for all of us as we waited three years for this day to come. For some of us, four. It was a really tough fight. All of us had a common goal, to win Gold. We felt that this is our year; the year we grab that trophy away from Temasek Polytechnic, defending champions for the past god knows how many years.  I’m proud of all my teammates. All of us played our very best for every game. Our hard work and trainings paid off. With an optimistic mind, we can do it! So.. good job Blaze!

14 08 2009

Blog Post by Esther Cai Jin Huan, FS0703

WELCOME TO AMSTERDAM!

Change your time to 6 hours before Singapore time : )

1

Our hostel bunks…… About 12 to 20 people sleeping together in a classroom! Dusty place to stay in though……

2

We settled down at Kerkrade, a peaceful town in the Netherlands where World Music Contest (WMC) flags and posters could be seen in every shops and houses! We spent most of the time on grocery shopping. AWESOME sausages. The following photographs were taken on the way to the C1000 supermarket. Friendly neighbours would wind down their windows in their cars to greet us: HELLO THERE! How’re you?

Happy National Day 09

13 08 2009

Blog Post by Jeremy, FS0801

AHHH National day break is over so soon! Why????

Anyway, with the temperature taking exercises going on and off almost everyday, everybody can now show off how innovative the school really is by… Making funny monster pictures with the green stickers and the sticker disposal board.

So everyday there would be a new monster picture with tentacles and many legs and hands. But what makes last friday’s monster so special was that it had a name :o And, the very creative designer was caught in the act, placing the name card in a very artistic position, playing with the contrast of colours. The president of the SCL club (Owen Tan, that’s the name on the card) must be so proud to have his name card displayed in such an elegant fashion. Who could the designer be? Take a look at the pictures, you be the judge.

What do you see? What do you see? Have you ever wondered, who could it be? Hahas. I dunno who it is but it could be Yu Yong, since she is running away so quick that all the camera could capture is a blurry figure. Or could it be Geoff? Just look at how proud he is of the name card monster! Or could it be Jack? For he is neither male or female, and he looks suspicious in every way, could he be the mastermind behind this work of art? Nobody would ever know muahahahahahaha.

And last but not least, happy national day to you all, and happy birthday Geoff. Hope you enjoyed “studying” this past few days hahahhas :D
